The supervisory duties of a prison warden require him or her to manage staff at all institutional levels, making decisions regarding hiring, training, promotion, discipline, evaluation and firing of staff. ... Prison wardens perform administrative functions of running a prison, including budgeting and setting policies.
CORRECTIONS OFFICERS:
The primary duty of a correctional officer is to maintain order in a detention facility. This involves learning any and all rules of the facility in which they work and enforcing those regulations to be certain that inmates act in an orderly way.
