TITLE: CANCELLATION OF CURRENT RULES, REGULATIONS, POLICY & PROCEDURES AND SPECIAL ORDERS
EFFECTIVE DATE: February 15, 2017
PURPOSE:
This policy establishes guidelines for the cancellation of prior Rules, Regulations, Policy & Procedures and Special Orders.
CANCELLATION OF CURRENT RULES, REGULATIONS, POLICY & PROCEDURES AND SPECIAL ORDERS
All Policies & Procedures issued prior to February 15, 2017 are cancelled.
OBEDIENCE TO RULES OF CONDUCT:
Employees shall be governed by the following general rules and conduct. Violations of any of these rules of conduct by any employee of the Department shall be considered sufficient cause for dismissal, demotion, suspension or other disciplinary action.
APPLICABILITY OF RULES:
Certain provisions of this document may not be applicable in undercover deputy assignments specifically authorized by supervisors. However, in determining such applicability, employees will be strictly accountable for justifying their actions.
Any law, ordinance or directive from a higher authority which is in conflict with any part of this manual will automatically supersede that portion of the Departments Policy @ Procedures.
In regards to: All Rules, Regulations, Policy & Procedures and Special Orders are at the discretion of the Sheriff based on departmental need and the severity of the infraction.
