On the 27th of January 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments Patrol Division stopped a truck, on Godwin Avenue in the Reddell area in reference to a complaint. Once Deputies made contact with the driver and passenger, they could smell Marijuana coming from the truck. Narcotics agents along with K-9 Diego were called to the scene and K-9 Diego alerted on the truck. A search of the truck resulted in a large amount of narcotics being recovered. This led to a search warrant of the passenger's residence. Once Agents entered the residence, they found more narcotics and a sawed of shotgun, and dead canines.
