TAKING THEM OFF THE STREETS!

Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

On the 2nd of May 2021 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department, stopped a vehicle on Opelousas road for traffic violations. Deputies conducted an interview with the driver and it led to Marijuana being found. The driver was charged as follows.

 Miguel Escobar Pendra

4810 Prairie Ronde Highway

Opelousas, La.

H/M Age 21

He was cited for three traffic violations

And cited and released for possession of Marijuana

 Also, on the 2nd of May 2021 Deputies stopped another car on Opelousas Road for a traffic violation.

The driver of this car was found to be in possession of narcotics. This led to the following actions.

He was cited for traffic violation and

Possession of Marijuana

On the 4th of May 2021 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department Criminal Patrol Unit, stopped a car on hwy 13 in the Duralde area. The deputies made contact with the driver and occupant of the vehicle after an interview narcotic were located. This led to the following actions.

She was charged with

Possession with intent to distribute Methamphetamine

Possession of drug Paraphernalia

Also, on the 4th of May 2021 Deputies stopped a subject walking on the Glemora, Turkey creek highway. Upon making contact with the subject, deputies saw him throw a bag under their unit. Deputies recovered the bag and located narcotics in it, and on his person. This led to the following action.

Possession of Methamphetamine

Possession of Marijuana

Possession of drug Paraphernalia
