Suspects Apprehended In Catalytic Converter Thefts!!

On January 14, 2022, Deputies with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office were dispatched to the 1000 Block of Black Lake Rd in the St. Landry community in reference to a report of catalytic converter thefts.  During the course of the investigation, two suspects were identified. One suspect being Brock Fontenot of Turkey Creek and the second suspect being Billy Joe Byrd of Ville Platte.  One of the suspects admitted to the thefts and was later placed under arrest and booked into the Evangeline Parish Jail for Theft and Felony Criminal Damage to Property.  Both suspects are being held on a $27,500.00 bond.
