Surveillance leads to Arrests!
Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:
On the 27th of June 2021 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Departments Criminal Patrol Unit, conducted a traffic stop on vehicle for a traffic violation. The deputies could see the male occupant moving around a lot in a manner consistent with trying to conceal something. The deputies conducted an interview and the subject admitted to having narcotics. He was arrested and charged as follows.

He was charged with
Possession of Heroin
Possession of Fentanyl
Later also on the 27th Deputies stopped a car for reckless driving. The driver was extremely nervous and displayed signs of erratic behavior. The Deputies then performed a search of the car with K-9 Diego. This led to a alert on the car and search that followed.

Resisting an officer
On the 28th of June 2021 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Criminal Patrol unit, were conducting surveillance on an area, that has been having narcotics trafficking. While conducting surveillance, deputies saw what they believed to be the sales of narcotics. Deputies approached the suspect who attempted to get rid of the package. He was detained and a search was conducted. This led to the discovery of several narcotics.
