Sheriff Charles R. Guillory Oath of Office and Swearing In

Beginning a new four year term (2024-2028)

                                      June 27, 2024

I am pleased to announce that Evangeline Parish Sheriff; Charles R. Guillory took his Oath of Office and was sworn in by 13th Judicial District Court Judge; Marcus L. Fontenot on June 27, 2024 to begin his second term in office.

Sheriff Guillory wishes to thank the public for the continued support and confidence shown him and his hard work and dedication continues to make our parish safe for everyone.  Safety of our citizens is utmost important.  He and his staff will continue to keep illegal drugs off and out of our communities, curtailing crime in general and protect our citizens.  Since in office, new technology has been added to the Sheriff's Department, such as drone, license plate readers and the list goes on.

A comprehensive list of achievements going back for the last four years will be made public in July 2024.  Of course, the greatest is the beginning of construction of a new Evangeline Parish Detention Center jail. More details to come.

Sheriff Guillory cannot express his gratitude enough for the great citizens of Evangeline Parish to bless him for another term in office and may there be many more.

Thank You and May God Bless you,

Sheriff Charles R. Guillory
