SEARCHES LEAD TO NARCOTICS AND US CURRENCY!
Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:
On the 1st of August 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments K-9 Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle, in the L'anse Meg area for a traffic violation. Upon coming into contact with the driver and conducting an interview, K-9 Diego was deployed and gave a positive alert to possible narcotics.
Agents then conducted a search of the vehicle and located illegal narcotics.

He was charged with
Possession with intent to distribute Methamphetamine over 28 grams
On the 4th of August 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments K-9 Unit stopped a car for a traffic violation. Upon coming into contact with the driver the odor of Marijuana could be smelled coming from the car. Agents conducted a search and located illegal narcotics.

On the 5th of August 2022 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department K-9 Unit stopped a truck for a traffic violation. Upon coming into contact with the driver and conducting an interview permission to search was granted. Agents completed their search and located illegal narcotics.

On the 5th of August the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department Narcotics Division assisted on a traffic stop, after the deputy smelled marijuana coming from the vehicle. A search of the vehicle located illegal narcotics and US currency.
