~ PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT ~ SATURATED DWI PATROL

Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office will be conducting a Saturated DWI Patrol on July 1, 2023, July 7, 2023, and July 8, 2023, between 8:00 PM and 4:00 AM each day.
The statistics show driving under the influence of alcohol is the leading cause of traffic fatalities. This amounts to approximately 28 deaths every 50 minutes. Alcohol severely hampers a driver's ability to operate a motor vehicle, impairs judgment, and slows one's reaction time.
Louisiana's blood alcohol concentration is set at .08 (BAC) or higher, which means it is illegal to drive a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol. Please do not drink and drive. Make sure to get a designated driver before you start.
