OVERWHELMING SMELL OF MARIJUANA LEADS TO ARRESTS!
Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:
On the 26th of January 2021 Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments Criminal Patrol agents, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on main street in front of sacred heart. When agents made contact with occupants of the vehicle, they noticed an overwhelming smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Deputies conducted an investigation and a search of the vehicle. When the search was completed there were several different narcotics and a large amount of U S currency located. This resulted in the following arrest.

On the 27th of 2021 Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department Criminal Patrol Unit, stopped a van for a traffic violation. The Deputy called for K-9 Diego. An open-air sniff was performed and a search of the vehicle followed. Which led to this arrest.
