New Release

Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

 

On the 21st day of August, 2021-  The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Criminal Patrol Unit conducted a traffic stop on a car, on the Oberlin Rd, for a traffic violation. The Deputies made contact with the driver of the vehicle and noticed a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. The Deputies then conducted a search of the vehicle where narcotics and U.S. currency were located. This led to the following actions being taken.

Mamou, LA. 70554

B/F Age 22

 

She was charged with:

Possession with Intent to Distribute Oxycodone

She was cited and released for Possession of Marijuana

and traffic violations.

Also, on the 21st day of August, 2021-  Criminal Patrol Agents conducted a traffic stop on a truck, on the Oberlin Road, for a traffic violation. When Agents made contact with the driver they discovered that he had a bag of Marijuana in plain view. This led to the following actions being taken.
