~NARCOTICS ARRESTS!~
Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:
On the 20th of March 2023 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department's Narcotics Unit, conducted a search warrant on a residence on East Street in the Town of Mamou. Agents entered the residence and detained three people without incident. Agents then searched the residence and located illegal narcotics, AR15 rifle, and two handguns.

Possession with intent to distribute Marijuana over 90 grams
Possession of a firearm in presence of CDS
Bond was set at $ 30,000.00
Agents then went to a residence on Jamie Street in the Mamou city limits and conducted a second search warrant. Agents detained three more people without incident. A search of the residence located illegal narcotics, an AR -10 Shotgun and U S Currency.

On the 21st of March 2023 Evangeline Parish Department's Narcotics Unit conducted a traffic stop on Main Street in Ville Platte. K-9 Diego was deployed and indicated the presence of narcotics. Agents then conducted a search and located illegal narcotics.
