NARCOTIC SEARCH WARRANT PRESS RELEASE ~ JUSTIN ONEAL POULLARD

On February 21, 2025, Narcotic Agents with Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office assigned to Criminal Patrol / Narcotics Unit was patrolling the area of East Street and Railroad Ave and observed a black male subject walking within a lane of travel.  Agents observed the subject drop a package on the side of the road near the stop sign, upon making contact with the 36-year-old black male identified as Justin Oneal Poullard.   Upon locating the item thrown on the street, agents recovered an opened Alka-Seltzer Plus Cold & Flu package, which was a red plastic baggie containing Methamphetamine weighing 3.78 grams and a plastic bag containing 4.73 grams of Methamphetamine.   

In the recent months, agents conducted surveillance and investigation of Poullard selling illegal narcotics from his residence, a Narcotic Search Warrant was obtained for the address of 109 3rd Street Mamou La.   Upon Agents executing a Narcotic Search Warrant of the residence, located in the backyard of the residential home in the ceiling of a shed was a Remington 870 POLICE Magnum 12-gauge shotgun Serial Number: C110274M as well as plastic baggie containing 9 white round pills, imprint 54 142 identified as Methadone Hydrochloride 10 mg (Schedule II). It should also be advised that located in the residence were clear plastic baggies, red baggies, as well as sandwich bags consistent with the packaging of the narcotics located in which Justin Poullard attempted to discard.  

Justin Oneal Poullard was arrested and charged with:

(1)   1 Count of 40:967A Distribution/Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine)

(2)   1 Count of 40:967A Distribution/Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule II CDS (Methadone)

(3)    1 count of 14:95.1 Possession of a Firearm or Carrying Concealed Weapon by a Person Convicted of Certain Felonies 

(4)    1 count 14.69.1 Illegal Possession of a Stolen Firearm.
