~NARCOTIC RELEASE~ EDWARD HANK GRANGER

On June 11, 2024 Narcotic Agents while conducting Criminal Patrol on Veteran Memorial Highway, agents observed a vehicle bearing Louisiana License Plate F182870 with only one working headlight traveling North on Veterans Memorial Hwy and then make a left turn onto Oakdale Road.   Agents activated the emergency lights to affect a traffic stop of the vehicle.  While making contact with the driver, who was identified as Edward Hank Granger to informed him of the traffic stop, agents could smell the odor of Marijuana emitting from the vehicle.  Agents asked Granger if he had any narcotics in the vehicle, he stated that he had a joint in the vehicle.  Agents informed Granger that the odor of Marijuana could be smelt coming from the vehicle.  At this time Granger was advised to exit the vehicle while agents searched the vehicle.   Upon a Patrol Deputy who arrived to assist the agents, a search was conducted.  Within the vehicle located in the center console a plastic bag with 2.2 grams of Marijuana, a hand rolled cigarette "joint" with 1 gram of Marijuana, and a brown and green Marijuana smoking pipe was located.   Granger was issued a traffic citation and a Criminal Summons for the Marijuana.
