NARCOTIC PRESS RELEASE: TABITHA RENEE FUSELIER

On December 20, 2024, Narcotic Agents with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office while conducting criminal patrol, observed a vehicle with no license plate visible obstructing the public passage on Court and Hickory Street.  As the agents approached the vehicle, the vehicle then started driving on the roadway and took a left-right turn at the intersection of Court and Hickory.  Agents activated the emergency lights and sirens to conduct a traffic stop in which the vehicle stopped at the intersection of Hickory and Young Street. Upon stopping the vehicle, a Louisiana Temp Tag was observed in the back window in which read Louisiana Temp: 20955140. Dispatch was advised of the vehicle License Plate and advised no record for the vehicle was located.  Agents made contact with the driver who was a 41-year-old white female, identified as Tabitha Fuselier.  Upon the agents informing her of the reason for the traffic stop, agents requested Fuselier's' driver's license and vehicle information, which Fusilier stated she did not have a license due to it being suspended.  During the field interview permission was granted by Fuselier to search the vehicle.  During the search, located in the door was a plastic baggie containing Methamphetamine weighing 0.31 grams.  Also, in the purse of Fuselier next to her identification card was a plastic baggie containing Methamphetamine weighing 0.30 grams.  On the rear passenger floorboard, a prescription pill bottle labeled Terry Richard was located. The pills were for Olmesartan/HCTZ 40 12.5 tabs containing four white in-color capsule/oblong pills with imprint SG 351 identified as Pregabalin 50 mg (Schedule V). Located in a pink safe in the center consul area was an unopened package of Buprenorphine and Naloxone Sublingual Film 8mg/2mg (Suboxone, Schedule III).  In the trunk area, a metal smoking pipe was located. Fuselier openly admitted to the baggie of Methamphetamine located in her purse as hers, as well as knowledge of the prescription pills in a pill bottle not labeled to her for which she stated she held a prescription. 

Tabitha Renee Fuselier 41 of Baton Rouge was arrested and charged with:

1 Count of 40:968C Possession of Schedule III (Felony)

1 Count of 40:970C Possession of Schedule V (Felony)
