NARCOTIC PRESS RELEASE JOSEPH BROUSSARD

After a joint investigation with the Evangeline Parish and Allen Parish Narcotic Divisions, a Search Warrant was secured then executed on November 18, 2024 along with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Patrol Division at the residence of 609 North Latour in reference to Narcotic activity coming from inside the home. 

The results of the Search Warrant are as follows: (1) .45 acp High Point Pistol, (2) 23.67 Grams of Methamphetamine (3) 15.57 grams of Heroin (4) 20 grams of Crack Cocaine (78 Crack Rocks)

As a result of the Search Warrant, Joseph Broussard, 48 year old black male, was arrested and charged with the following:

1.  One count of La RS Code 40:966 Possession with Intent to Distribute Schedule 1 (Heroin)

2.  One count of La RS Code 40:981 CDS Violation 

3.  One count of La RS Code 40:967 Possession with Intent to Distribute Sch II (Methamphetamine)

4.  One count of La RS Code 40:967 Possession with Intent to Distribute with Intent to distribute Schedule II (Crack cocaine) 

5.  One count of La RS Code 14:69.1 Possession of a stolen firearm 

6.  One count of La RS Code 14:95. E Possession of Firearm in the presence of a CDS
