~NARCOTIC PRESS RELEASE~ JEREMY CHAPMAN
On April 3, 2025, I, Narcotic Agents, observed a vehicle bearing the Louisiana License Plate H463952 driving westbound on Cypress. Upon stopping at the intersection of Cypress and 5th Street, the vehicle failed to utilize a signal before negotiating a right turn. The agent made contact with the driver, a 37-year-old white male, who was identified as Jeremy Chapman. Jeremy Chapman was advised of the reasoning for the traffic stop. Agents ordered Chapman to exit the vehicle, and during the pat search for weapons, Chapman gave consent to search the vehicle. Chapman stated to the agents he had 2) Xanax pills within the vehicle, and that he had a prescription. During the search of the vehicle, agents located in the center console a white cylinder tube containing two rectangular white pills imprint G3722, identified as Alprazolam 2mg. Located in an empty void near the floorboard next to the center console area on the driver's side was a piece of plastic containing 11 white capsule / oblong pills imprint M367, identified as Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone Bitartrate 325 mg / 10 mg.
Jeremy Chapman was arrested and charged with 1) Count of 40:967 Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic. Chapman was also issued citations for the traffic infractions.
