MARCH BLOWS IN MORE DRUG ARRESTS!
Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:
On the 2nd of March 2023 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Department Narcotic Units conducted a traffic stop in Ville Platte. Agents witnessed the driver throw something out as he was exiting the truck. Agents made contact with the driver and retrieved the package.

Also, on the 2nd of March 2023 Narcotic Agents stopped a vehicle in Ville Platte. Agents conducted an interview with the driver and passenger, who both admitted to having illegal narcotics.

On the 6 of March 2023 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Department Traffic Division stopped a car for speeding. Deputies detected an odor of marijuana and searched the vehicle, locating illegal narcotics.

On the 6th of March 2023 Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Narcotic Agents conducted another traffic stop on Hwy 167. Upon coming into contact with the driver it was determined she had an outstanding warrant.
