MAKING THINGS HAPPEN IN EVANGELINE PARISH!
Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:
On the 25th of February 2023 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the Duralde area. The deputy made contact with the driver and passengers. The deputy conducted an interview with the occupants and probable cause to search was established. Following the search, the following actions occurred.

Possession with intent to distribute sch 1
Possession of a firearm in presence of CDS
Obstruction of justice
On the 27th of February 2023 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit, conducted a search warrant on a residence located in the Lanse Meg Area. Agents made entry and took one suspect into custody without incident. Upon a search of the property illegal narcotics were located.

Also on the 27th of February 2023 Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Agents, conducted a second search warrant in the Mamou city limits. Agents entered the residence and took one suspect into custody without incident. A search of the property was conducted and the following person was charged.

On the 1st of March 2023 Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office K-9 Unit stopped a vehicle on US Hwy 167N.
The agent made contact with the driver and K-9 Diego was deployed. Diego indicated to the possible presence of narcotics and a search of the vehicle was conducted.
