Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:
On the 28th of December 2020 The Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department K-9 Unit, conducted a traffic stop on vehicle for a traffic violation. When the deputy approached the truck, he could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from it. The deputy then conducted an investigation and the driver admitted to having marijuana and other narcotics in the truck.

LA:RS: 40:966. C.1 Possession with intent to distribute marijuana
LA:RS: 40:969.C Possession with intent to distribute Lortabs
LA:RS: 40:1238.1 Possession of legend drugs
LA:RS: 40:1023 Possession of drug paraphernalia
And a traffic violation
