LARGE AMOUNT OF SYNTHETIC MARIJUANA FOUND!

Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

 On the 26rd of December 2020, The Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department Criminal Patrol Unit was working in the crocked creek area. Deputies stopped a grey ford vehicle for a traffic stop. When deputies approached the vehicle, they could smell a strong odor believed to be marijuana. Deputies spoke the occupants and advised the reason for the stop, they also advised they could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle. The occupants gave permission to search. Deputies located a large amount of synthetic marijuana. This led to the following action being taken.

She was charged with

LA:RS: 40:966.C Possession with intent to distribute synthetic marijuana. She was also arrested on outstanding warrants for failure to appear for court.
