Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

 Since taking office on July 1st 2020 Sheriff Charles R Guillory has kept his word, and commitment to clean the parish of narcotics.  We were able to secure a trained drug dog at no cost to the parish. We then implemented a criminal patrol division. Since the inception of the criminal patrol division we have made a difference. This is what we have accomplished so far, and it is only the start. Since July the Sheriff's Department has made a total of 57 drug arrest. This includes arrest for

 Possession of Marijuana

Possession of Cocaine

Possession of LSD/ESCATCY

Possession of Methamphetamine

Possession of Heroin

 We have also seized and recovered several firearms with the narcotics.

 We have seized two vehicles as of now.

 We have also recovered over $ 19,000.00 in currency from the sale of illegal narcotics.
