High Speed Pursuit Leads to Arrest
Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:
On the 7th of November 2020 The Evangeline Parish Criminal Patrol Unit was traveling west on Lincoln road. Deputy Willis saw a white car commit a traffic offense. When he activated his emergency, the car sped up and refused to stop. The car then proceeded to travel north on Tate cove and then onto the Whiteville road, reaching speeds of 100 mph. During the pursuit the driver tried to ram police units and was driving extremely reckless. The car finally came to a stop on Whiteville road at Eldridge road. The driver and occupants were removed from the vehicle and detained. The vehicle was searched due to extremely strong scent of marijuana coming from it. Once the investigation was completed the following arrest occurred.

LA:RS: 40:1023 Possession of drug paraphernalia
She remains incarcerated at this time
