EVANGELINE PARISH SHERIFF DETENTION CENTER GROUND BREAKING

A GREAT DAY IN EVANGELINE PARISH

THE EVANGELINE PARISH SHERIFF CHARLES R. GUILLORY, ANNOUNCED THE GROUNG BREAKING FOR THE NEW JAIL ON 3-21-23 AT 10:00AM AT THE INDUSTRIAL PARK OFF OF MAXIE RAE RD.

IT BEGAN WITH AN OPENING PRAYER BY FATHER TOM VOORHIES AND FOLLOWED LATER WITH A CLOSING PRAYER BY REV. FREDDIE JACK.

THE DETENTION COMPLEX IS A JOINT ENDEAVOR BETWEEN THE EVANGELINE PARISH SHERIFF'S OFFICE AND THE EVANGELINE PARISH POLICE JURY. WE ARE WORKING TOGETHER TO MOVE THE PARISH FORWARD.

THERE WERE MANY IN ATTENDANCE INCLUDING JUDGES, DA'S, ADA'S, BUSINESS AND NEWS PEOPLE, LAW ENFORCEMENT, JURORS, MAYORS, PASTORS, AND THE LIST GOES ON.

 

MR. ALEX DESHOTEL WITH GRACE HEBERT ARCHITECTS SPOKE BRIEFLY ABOUT TIMELINES AND BASICALLY FROM START TO FINISH 14 TO 18 MONTHS.
