EPSO AND MAMOU PD TEAM UP!

Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

  On the 21st of January 2021 The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Department in conjunction with the Mamou Police Department, conducted an investigation into illegal drug sales at 1021 East street in Mamou. When deputies arrived, the suspect attempted to flee the scene. Deputies were able to detain him and two other females. Deputies noticed an extremely strong smell of marijuana. K-9 Diego was used to perform an open-air sniff around the vehicle and alerted to the presence of illegal narcotics. Deputies then searched the vehicle and located an assortment of narcotics. This led to three people being arrested and charged as follows.

LA:RS: 40:1023 Possession of drug paraphernalia

She was charged with
