Drug paraphernalia in plain sight!
Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:
On the 10th of March the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department two different traffic stops, and located narcotics in both cars. The first stop occurred on Hwy 167 north of Turkey Creek when deputies stopped a car for a traffic violation. The deputy could smell marijuana coming from inside the car. The driver was advised of the reason for the stop. The deputy requested permission to search. While searching the car, deputies located ecstasy and cocaine. This led to following arrest.

LA:RS: 40:966. A.1 Possession with intent to distribute ecstasy
LA:RS: 40: 967 Possession of cocaine
On the 2nd traffic stop of the night, Deputies stopped Kenny Gordan Clark, the deputies advised him of the reason for the stop. While he was looking for his information, deputies saw drug paraphernalia in plain sight. They requested permission to search and it was granted. Deputies located synthetic marijuana on Clark's person.

On the 11th of March 2021 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department K-9 Unit stopped a car in the Point Blue area, for a traffic violation. When the deputy made contact with the driver, he noticed several indicators of possible drug use and are possession. The driver was advised of the reason for the stop. The deputy continued to noticed signs of awkward behavior from the driver. When the deputy advised him, he would deploy his K-9, The driver stated I have drugs and told deputies where it was located.
