DONATION FOR NEW K-9!

The Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department received a generous donation from the GEO Group, representing its Pine Prairie and Basile locations. The donation in the amount of $ 10,000.00 to be used towards the purchase of a new K-9 that will be trained in Narcotics and Tracking. The K-9 will be utilized to check both facilities for narcotics and trained in tracking of escaped inmates. The K-9 will also be used on regular patrol in the parish.

Sheriff Charles R. Guillory would like to thank the GEO group for this donation as it is much needed, in continuing to combat the illegal narcotics that have plagued our parish.
