Criminal Patrol Unit Makes Major Drug Bust
Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:
On the 24th of November 2020 The Evangeline Parish Criminal Patrol Unit executed a search warrant on, a residence located at 611 West Jefferson street in Ville Platte. Upon gaining entry into the residence deputies detained the two occupants of the residence. The home was then searched by the deputies and a large number of narcotics, along with surveillance equipment and US currency was seized. This then led to homeowner being charged as follows.

LA:RS: 40:966 Possession with the intent to distribute marijuana 2.75 pounds
LA:RS: 40:967 Possession with the intent to distribute Methamphetamine 6.7 ounces
LA:RS: 40:967 Possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine 29 grams
LA:RS: 40:967 Possession with the intent to distribute MDMA/ EXSTACY 9 tablets
LA: RS: 40:967: Possession with the intent to distribute oxycodone 47 tablets
LA:RS: 40:967 Possession with the intent to distribute carisoprodol 44 tablets
LA:RS: 40:967 Possession with intent to distribute schedule 2 drugs
6 Hydrocode pills
2 Methadone pills
5 codeine pills
Deputies also recovered and seized $1058.00 in US currency from illegal drug sales, and have started seizure paperwork on 2006 Hummer H3.
Bond is pending on Mr. Alfred. He remains incarcerated at this time.
