Criminal Patrol Making A Difference

Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

On the 21 of November 2020, Deputy's with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Department Criminal Patrol Unit, were on west Hickory when they noticed a vehicle commit a traffic violation. The vehicle was stopped in the parking lot of L& V store on south Soileau street. The driver attempted to entered the store and was stopped by deputies and advised of the reason for the stop. When deputies looked inside the vehicle there was a piece of crack cocaine in plain view. The driver was then arrested and a search of the vehicle was conducted. Deputies located synthetic marijuana and hand gun inside the vehicle. The driver was charged as follows.
