CRIMINAL PATROL AND DIEGO HARD AT WORK!

Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

 On the 19th of January 2021 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments Criminal Patrol unit, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Robert J Dupre in Pine Prairie. When deputies made contact with the driver, he was showing signs of extreme nervousness. The deputy requested permission to search and it was granted. The deputy located narcotics on him, which led to the following charges,

W/M Age 62

 

He was charged with

LA:RS: 40:967.C Possession of methamphetamine

LA:RS: 40:969.C Possession of Temazepam

LA:RS: 40:969.C Possession of Diazepam

LA:RS: 40:1023 Possession of drug paraphernalia

Also, on the 19th of January 2021 Deputies stopped a truck on Shuff road for a traffic violation. When deputies made contact with the driver, there was an overwhelming smell of marijuana, coming from the truck. K-9 Diego alerted on the truck and the driver admitted to having narcotics in it.

This stop then led to deputies conducting a search warrant at the owner of the truck's residence, which led to more narcotics being located.

LA:RS: 40:966. C.1 Possession with intent to distribute marijuana 2 counts

LA:RS: 40:967. C.1 Possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine

LA:RS: 40:1023 Possession of drug paraphernalia
