Assistance Needed From Public To Solve Shooting Case!!

In the early morning hours of October 16th, 2022 at approximately 12:01am- The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office Patrol Division responded to a call of shots fired on John F. Kennedy Avenue, in an unincorporated area of Ville Platte.

After arriving on scene, Deputies located numerous spent shell casings. Upon further investigation, it was determined that multiple subjects approached a residence, in which, the homeowners were hosting a Highschool Homecoming Party.

During that time there were multiple shots that were fired at the residence, in close proximity of the individuals (both inside and outside of the residence) who were attending the party. 
It was subsequently discovered that, in addition to the residence that was struck with bullets, 2 automobiles had also been struck.

There are no reported injuries involving this incident.

This is an active ongoing investigation. Sheriff Charles R. Guillory is asking the public to please come forward with any information concerning this shooting, as it may be a crucial, key factor in solving this case. The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office cannot solve this crime without the public's help.
