ARSON SUSPECT CAPTURED!!!
WANTED FUGITIVE CONSIDERED ARMED AND DANGEROUS CAPTURED
Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:
MAMOU, LA - On Friday, April 9, 2021, Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office was called out to 1100 block of JJ St. in the Reddell area for an Arson. Upon arrival of the Deputies, the alleged suspect had fled the scene.
The fugitive was later identified as James Rozas, who was being sought after for 4 counts of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder and Aggravated Arson. Information was sent out to local agencies in the surrounding areas which led to a search for Rozas. Rozas was later captured by The Allen Parish Sheriff's Office during a vehicle pursuit in which Rozas was driving a stolen vehicle.
The Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office would like to thank the Allen Parish Sheriff's Office in the capture of wanted fugitive James Rozas. Rozas will be facing the charges of 4 counts of Attempted 2nd Degree Murder and Aggravated Arson.
