Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:

 On the 14th of August 2023 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff Departments Narcotics Unit, conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Ville Platte. Agents made contact with the driver and passenger. The passenger was wanted by a different agency for outstanding warrants. Once he was arrested and searched illegal narcotics were located on his person.

He was charged with

Possession of Cocaine

Possession of Fentanyl

    ALL SUSPECTS ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY
