~ARREST BRIEFING~ TRISTON VIDRINE

On May 24, 2024, Deputies received a tip that Triston Vidrine, who had felony warrants, was at an address on Majic Lane in Pine Prairie. Deputies noticed Triston sitting inside of a truck on the property. Deputies attempted to apprehend Triston. Triston then fled in the truck in which a high speed vehicle pursuit took place to a wooded area in Easton where Triston exited the vehicle and was able to evade capture. On several different occasions, law enforcement attempted to capture Triston but he would escape by fleeing on foot into wooded areas.

 Agents with the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries received a tip that Triston was hunting deer illegally in the Lake Cove area. Shortly after, Wildlife Agents went to a residence in Lake Cove where Triston was staying. Triston once again fled in a truck and was unable to be captured.

 Detectives with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office received another tip that Triston was staying at a residence in Pitkin. On June 29, 2024, Detectives coordinated with the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries and Triston Vidrine was apprehended without incident.

 Triston Vidrine is being held without bond for two counts of flight from an officer, one count simple escape, one count of criminal trespass, one count of theft, one count of cyber stalking, one count of simple assault, one count of aggravated flight, one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, two counts possession of schedule I CDS, one count of Probation and Parole violation, and one count Hunting and / or taking deer during closed season.

Sheriff Charles Guillory would like to thank the Department of Wildlife and fisheries for their quick response to leads to include coordination with the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office in the apprehension of Triston Vidrine.
