ARREST BRIEFING JEREMY MOREIN
In the early morning hours of December 5, 2024, an Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Patrol Deputy observed a suspicious vehicle in the 6400 Block of Grand Prairie Rd. in Ville Platte La. When approaching the vehicle, the Deputy found a person sleeping inside the vehicle with syringes in his lap along with several firearms not to mention a variety of illegal narcotics.
During this time the Sheriff's office received over 11 complaints from the Grand Prairie / Belaire Cove area about vehicle burglaries, residential burglaries, and thefts during the night. After further investigations, it was learned that Jeremy Joseph Morein of Ville Platte, Hayven Andrew Nugent of Morse La., and Timothy Vidrine of Ville Platte were the subjects committing the multiple burglaries.
