~ARREST BRIEFING~ JASON PESCHIER

On September 3, 2022, Deputies responded to the Y - Not Bar located at the intersection of Hwy 13 and La 10 in reference to a physical disturbance.  Upon arrival, Deputies learned that the victim was attacked by multiple subjects at the bar and one of the suspects struck the victim with a pair of brass knuckles. 

After reviewing the video surveillance at the establishment and speaking with witnesses, Detectives were able to identify two suspects.  One being Jonathan Allen Sitting W/M DOB 07/26/1982 of Ville Platte and the other being Jason Peschier W/M DOB 09/07/1977 of Ville Platte.

On November 2, 2022 arrest warrants were obtained for both subjects.  Jonathan sitting was arrested and charged with Simple Battery. He turned himself in at the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office on May 3, 2023.  A warrant for Aggravated 2nd Degree Battery was issued for Jason Peschier and has not yet been apprehended. 

On May 16, 2023, suspect Jason Peschier turned himself in to the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office where he was booked for Aggravated Second Degree Battery.  His bond was set at $50,000.00 and has been released on that bond.
