ARREST BRIEFING ~ HENRY KENT JOHNSON

On January 28, 2025, Detectives received a complaint of a sexual assault that may have happened to two juvenile family members by the suspect (Henry Kent Johnson). These acts were first reported on November 17, 2021, which the investigation was later suspended in early 2022.

During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect performed inappropriate acts on both juvenile victims who were between the ages of five and six at the time of the incidents. They are both now adults. 

On February 21, 2025, Henry Kent Johnson was placed under arrest for 2 counts of indecent behavior with juveniles under the age of 13 years old and 2 counts of Molestation of a juvenile under the age of 13 years old.  He is currently being held in the Evangeline Parish Jail with a $150,000 bond.  This is still an active ongoing investigation and there may be other charges.  If anyone has any additional information concerning this case, please call the Evangeline Parish SO.
