~ARREST BRIEFING~ EARLINE HERBERT

On March 28th, 2025, Lepoleon Herbert was charged and arrested for Aggravated Crime against Nature, First Degree Rape, Indecent Behavior, and Molestation of a Juvenile.

On Monday March 31st, 2025, Herberts wife, Earline Herbert was arrested on the charges of Principal to First Degree Rape, Principal to Aggravated Crimes against Nature, Obstruction of Justice and Accessories after the Fact to Indecent Behavior with a Juvenile. 

The investigation revealed that Earline Herbert had been told nearly 10 years ago that her husband was having inappropriate contact with another family member.  Earline was also aware when Lepoleon fathered a child with the victim but again, she refused to protect the victim by siding with Lepoleon due to financial concerns if he was to be arrested. Earline Herbert has been booked into the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's office and is being held on a $640,000.00 bond.
