ARREST BRIEF KASSIE ANN BUTLER

On October 17, 2024, the criminal investigations division began opened an investigation of a sexual assault involving a service worker who was employed at a local home health care service. She committed the alleged sexual assault on a bed-bound cerebral palsy patient under her care.

It was determined at the completion of the investigation that the service worker engaged in inappropriate sexual activity while working in the 39-year-old victims with disabilities home. This activity happened on multiple occasions inside the victim's home without her consent. 

Kassie Ann Butler of Mamou was arrested and charged with Two Counts of First-Degree Rape, Two Counts of Sexual Batter of Persons with Infirmities, and Two Counts of Cruelty to persons with Infirmities. Butler is currently being held in the Evangeline Parish Jail with a total bond of $550,000.00.
