22 LBS OF MARIJUANA MAILED FROM TEXAS TO CHATAIGNIER
Sheriff Charles R. Guillory, of the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office releases the following:
On the 22th of September 2021 the Evangeline Parish Sheriffs Departments Narcotics Unit conducted a search warrant on a residence located at 121 East General Beauregard Street in Ville Platte. The search warrant stems from numerous complaints and surveillance in the area. When agents entered the residence, they found two people inside. Agents both people into custody without incident. The agents searched the residence found illegal narcotics and arrested the following.

He was charged with
Possession with intent to distribute Methamphetamine 54 grams
Possession with intent to distribute synthetic Marijuana 11.8 grams
Possession of a Firearm in the presence of CDS
Possession of a Firearm by a convicted Felon
Possession of drug Paraphernalia
Crystal Narcisse
121 East Beauregard
Ville Platte, LA.
B/F Age 30
She was charged with
Possession with intent to distribute synthetic marijuana 12 grams
Possession with intent to distribute Methamphetamine
Possession of a Firearm in presence of CDS
Possession of drug Paraphernalia
Also, on the 22th of September the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Departments Narcotic Unit, conducted o stop on vehicle in the Tom drive apartment area. When agents made contact with the occupants, they found illegal narcotics and a firearm. The following were arrested.

On the 24th of September 2021 the Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Departments Narcotics Unit received a call concerning a strange package that was delivered to a residence in the Chataignier area. When agents arrived, they found the package had been mailed from Texas to Chataignier. The agents then opened the package and found a total of 22 pounds of Marijuana. Agents retrieved video footage from the residence and have a active investigation going on at this time.
