On July 11, 2024, Narcotic Agents received information about a residence where suspected Marijuana plants were being cultivated at the residence 1329 Saddler Street, Turkey Creek Louisiana.  Narcotic Agents arrived at the residence and made contact with two female subjects who were identified as Lilie Hughes (Dob 07/18/1962) of Turkey Creek and her caretaker Kelsie Fontenot (Dob 09/08/1975) of Turkey Creek.  Hughes and Fontenot were advised of the reason for law enforcement's presence at the residence.   Agents also made contact with the land and homeowner, Kent Chaddrick 3/30/1963 of Turkey Creek who was also advised of the reason law enforcement was on his property.  Upon agents speaking with Chaddrick, Chaddrick permitted the agents to walk around within the property lines.  During the agent's observation of the property, the agent located, on the east side of his property, a 7ft 9 in. tall Marijuana Plant with a stalk of approximately 5 ½ in circumference and approximately 5ft 6in wide in what appeared to be a flower garden.  

At this time agents placed Chaddrick under arrest and advised him of his Miranda Rights he understood. Chaddrick then informed he had several more Marijuana Plants on the property and would show deputies where they were located.  Upon completing the search for Marijuana Plants, 45 Marijuana Plants were discovered ranging from 8 inches tall to 8 ft tall.  Chaddrick was then asked if he had any other illegal narcotics in the residence and he stated that he had some Marijuana leaves from the plants and stated that he would turn them over.  Chaddrick was asked if there were any firearms in the residence and he stated that there were several firearms in the residence. When asked for permission to search his residence he permitted agents to search the residents.

Upon agents entering the residence, agents located a subject who was identified as Danny Wolfe (Dob 09/08/1975) of Turkey Creek seated in the living room area.  Chaddrick was asked where the Marijuana was that he stated he had and he went to the drawer on the left side of the headboard and retrieved what was found to be 25 grams of (dried) Marijuana.   While continuing the search, in the drawer agents also located Marijuana seeds, three smoked hand-rolled cigarettes with a total of .76 grams of Marijuana and 2 Marijuana grinders (one metal and one green), .59 grams of Methamphetamine, RX bottle containing .30 grams of Methamphetamine,  Elite Stalker .444cal Serial # G1-06-017353-11, Glenfield Model 75 22 long rifle Serial #25252404, Henry 22 Mag Serial # GB055300M, New England Pardner 12 gauge Serial              # NL301443, Remington 870 Express Super Mag 12ga Serial # C368459A, Stevens 22 short with no serial number, and a Ruger MK III 22 long rifle in a case with 2 magazines and 61 rounds Serial # 228-91487.  Also located in an adjacent room of a juvenile, was a loaded firearm Remington Model 710 270 cal Serial # 1044441 with one magazine and 4 bullets.  Kent Chaddrick was arrested and transported to Evangeline Parish Sheriff's Office for 40:966 Cultivation of Marijuana, 40:967 Possession of Schedule II Narcotics (Methamphetamine), 14:95. E Illegal Possession of a firearms within the presence of a Controlled Dangerous Substance. 14:91.13 Illegal use of controlled dangerous substances in the presence of a person under seventeen years of age. 14:95.1 Possession of Firearm by a convicted felon.
